Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded two major contracts totaling $1.4 billion to enhance air and missile defense capabilities for both the U.S. Army and Poland. These awards solidify Northrop Grumman’s leadership in advanced integrated battle management solutions, leveraging artificial intelligence and model-based systems engineering to strengthen global security.
The U.S. Army’s Aviation Missile Technology Consortium awarded Northrop Grumman a five-year, $481 million contract to expand software development for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS). Of this amount, $347.6 million is earmarked for Poland’s defense initiatives, while $133.7 million will support the U.S. military and the Guam Defense System. Under this contract, Northrop Grumman will collaborate with AI and model-based systems engineering specialists to enhance IBCS software development capacity. The work will also include integrating Polish sensors and the United Kingdom’s Common Anti-Air Modular Missile system (CAMM).
A second contract, valued at $899.6 million, will see Northrop Grumman deliver IBCS as the single command and control system for Poland’s WISŁA medium-range and NAREW short-range air defense programs.
