Chicago police are warning residents of the 012th (Near West) and 014th (Shakespeare) Districts about a series of armed robberies that occurred late Tuesday night. Four separate incidents, all following a similar pattern, took place within an hour, leaving victims shaken.
Between 11:00 PM and 11:45 PM on February 19, 2025, the suspects targeted individuals in Bucktown, East Village, and Noble Square. The locations of the robberies are as follows:
2200 Block of W Charleston St at 11:00 PM (Bucktown)
2000 Block of W Ohio St at 11:30 PM (East Village)
1000 Block of N Paulina St at 11:33 PM (Noble Square)
1600 Block of W Grand Ave at 11:45 PM (East Village)
In each incident, the victims were approached by two offenders who exited a silver, four-door sedan bearing Illinois license plate CF44541. The suspects brandished semi-automatic weapons equipped with blue laser sights and demanded personal property from the victims. In one of the incidents, the offenders threw a victim to the ground.
Police describe one of the offenders as a male, approximately 6’00” tall, aged 20-30 years old, and armed with a firearm. He was wearing a black ski mask. The second offender is described as approximately 5’00” tall, also aged 20-30 years old, and wearing a black ski mask. Their role in the robberies remains undetermined.
The Chicago Police Department is urging residents in these areas to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is encouraged to contact the police immediately.
