A 15-year-old male was arrested on Wednesday, August 23, 2024, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier that morning.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the incident took place in the 8100 block of S. Ada Street in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. At approximately 11:30 am, a 60-year-old man was approached by the suspect, who allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded his belongings. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene.

Officers responding to the call were able to locate and apprehend the 15-year-old suspect in the same block. He was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery.
